Super Bowel—Or is it Bowl?

Here’s what Jack del Rio said in response to a story about the Jan. 6 commission that was so completely out-of-line that the NFL fined him 100,000 dollars:

"Would love to understand ‘the whole story’ about why the summer of riots, looting, burning and the destruction of personal property is never discussed but this is??? #CommonSense"1

I'll start watching professional football again...When the NFL stops trying to cram woke shit down my throat.

Either way—there will be a lot of shit to deal with.

I used to be a fan of the NFL. The San Diego Chargers were my team. My first live game at Jack Murphy Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs on October 15, 1967 is one of the best memories I have of my Dad who passed away in 2021. I was nine. We didn’t have tickets and when we got to the ticket window all the cheap seats were gone. This terrified me. My Dad, who I knew didn’t like spending money, started arguing with the ticket guy and I thought for sure we were going to leave the stadium and go home. But Dad, God bless him, paid for the expensive seats. I know that wasn’t easy for him.

What a game! To this day, it is still one of the best Chargers’ games I have ever seen. We won 45-31 and my two childhood heroes, cornerback Leslie “Speedy” Duncan and wide receiver Lance Alworth each scored two touchdowns. Speedy returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown which was a record at the time. He also returned a fumble for a touchdown. After a first game like that I became an instant fan. I’ve still got the paper clipping from that game somewhere.

In high school my buddies and I sat in the end zone seats watching Dan Fouts in his early years. Later I sat with my wife’s Aunt and Uncle (who had season tickets for decades) to watch the Stan Humphries’ years (our only Super Bowl appearance in 1994) and later the Rivers and Tomlinson era.

I also often watched Monday, Thursday and Sunday night games and always watched the playoffs even when the Chargers missed them. But I stopped watching the NFL when MY TEAM moved to Los Angeles in 2017 (and yes I know that was the original location in 1960). After being abandoned (non-sports fans won’t understand that) by the team of my childhood and being bombarded by NFL Wokeness, my enthusiasm for the game, after 50 years, disappeared. I can’t see it ever coming back.

No judgments on those of you still watching the NFL. Admittedly, if the Chargers were still in San Diego…I’d probably be watching them and simply ignoring all the woke shit the NFL pushes.

But I won’t be watching the big game, though I do plan to watch the alternative halftime show: “All American Halftime Show.”

The All American Halftime Show. Kid Rock. Brantley Gilbert. Lee Brice. Gabby Barrett. 2.8.2026. Turning Point USA.

Have a great day.

Next Year’s Super Bowl Half Time Show Will Celebrate White Heterosexuals. This isn’t funny. The Inmate needs to improve his skills. I’m not sure it’s supposed to be funny. Let’s go hiking.
