AB 2098 is the attack on doctors who deviate from “Scientific Consensus” into that terrible realm of misinformation. The bill is currently not being enforced because of legal issues and now it looks like California is realizing it doesn’t have a chance of being enforced so the easiest way for totalitarians to save face is to simply get rid of the bill without telling anyone and without admitting it was a totalitarian power grab from day one.

This is good news. Look at the new bill (S.B. 815(opens new window))….it is long and boring as hell. I couldn’t read it all. No mention of AB 2098, but there is this sentence tucked away in section 13:
This bill would repeal the above-described provisions that provide that it shall constitute unprofessional conduct for a physician and surgeon to disseminate misinformation or disinformation related to COVID-19, as provided.
And then it just goes on.
